Echo

In Echo, vertical trunks emerge through a field of layered amber light, their pale surfaces holding steady against a wash of motion. The warmth of the surrounding grasses seems to reverberate, as if the forest carries a lingering resonance of earlier intensity.

The composition feels familiar yet softened, recalling previous surges of color without repeating them. Light moves gently across the bark, and the undergrowth settles into a textured glow. Rather than dramatizing the scene, Robert allows repetition and subtle variation to create continuity. The work suggests memory — not as a fixed image, but as something that quietly resounds within the present.
